


The School of Medical Sciences (UCCSMS) has presented the trophy the School won at the Eighth Medical Inter-Schools’ Public Speaking Competition held to the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Professor G. K. T. Oduro.

The Dean, School of Nursing and Midwifery, Dr. Mrs. Dorcas Obiri-Yeboah, advised students to be serious with their studies and avoid engaging in unproductive activities because their books were supposed to be their ultimate friends to guide them to achieve academic excellence.

A dietician based in the United Kingdom, Mr. Douglas Twenefour, has advised Ghanaians to eat healthy more fruits, fish, vegetable, whole grains, beans and nuts to prevent themselves against cardiovascular diseases .

The Access Course which started on Monday, October 22, is a refresher course to prepare Post NAC/NAP final year students who could not get credit for English, Mathematics and Science in the West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

Medical Schools from UCC, University of Ghana (UG), Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and University for Development Studies (UDS) participated in the competition which was held at Auditorium 900, C. A. Ackah Lecture Theatre (CALT).
